The Kraken Grog
To keep with the Spirit of the theme for this issue, I’ve decided to pull out an old favorite of mine, “ The Grog”. With origins as old as the 1700s, Grog has turned into something I like to drink during the cold winter months to battle...umm, cold weather? Or thirst? I guess. Anyway, this drink is good for sitting outside on a chilly night with some friends around a fire and having a good time. I must warn you…at first sip its bitter, slightly tartness takes you… shakes you. "That be the tentacles" And then the warm citrus flavor calms you almost lulls you. "And that lads be the kraken pulling you down into its warm embrace."
THE KRAKEN GROG RECIPE
16oz Glass or Mug.
Drop in an Orange Slice (or 2)
Then add 2 ounces of Kraken Spice Rum
Pour 1/2 ounce of fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon of Dark Brown Sugar
Add a few dashes of cinnamon
Stir.
And fill the rest of the glass with HOT water.
Stir one more time and then enjoy.
Add a cinnamon stick if you like.

P.s. After you enjoy the tasty beverage, the orange slice becomes a nice citrus, cinnamon-sugar flavored delight.
